Nafessa Kassim has a diverse background in both small and large group facilitation and trainings. She is a certified facilitator with Google’s Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute ; a Mindfulness and Social/Emotional Intelligence program. She is also certified with Transformative Action Institute where she has designed workshopsand trained teachers, students, as well as corporate and nonprofit leaders. Nafessa comes alive working with youth and community leaders empowering them to be intrinsically motivated to pursue their passions.
Nafessa holds Dual Master’s degree from Columbia University in Global Public Health & Social Work focused on International Development and Social Entrepreneurship. She has 12+ years of experience in development work, building publicprivate partnerships, CSR, and social work. Nafessa is a global citizen having worked and lived in the US, India, Spain, and Indonesia. Through her work at MovingWorlds she built CSR programs which equipped individuals as well as employees of large Fortune 500 companies to volunteer their skills at social impact organizations around the world. She developed and designed the content for the course “Best Practices for Volunteering in Different Cultures” which focuses on sustainability and intercultural competencies. Nafessa is actively involved as a mentor at StartingBloc, and is on the American India Foundation Young Professional Board.
